Reviews about Dr J Atkins - Alexandra Road Surgery
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been 3 times at Alexandra Road Surgery because of my son. My son never got any got any advice and medication from this surgery and he is only 5 & half years old. My son diagnosed with Autism in 2014 and he fell sick twice in fever & once constipation. First visit was 15.40pm and signed in at 15.35pm, kept us waiting 40 mins as called on 16.20pm. We told the doctor he has been vomited 3 times, constipation & not eating at all & we gave medication since his illness. The doctor checked his temperature, chest & ear & said he is absolutely fine. He was sick for the next two weeks, put up stress & a lot of sleepless night. But no help from this place. 2nd visit was his constipation at 11.30am because he had no toilet for 3 days plus not eating. Signed in on time but kept us waiting 30 mins. We told the problem & the doctor checked his tummy and said he is absolutely fine and good bye. Again no help, no medication. we bought medication from shop and put up the stress until he gets well. 3rd visit at 9.40am on 8/11/2016 signed in on time, get a call within 20 mins room no. 2. My son refered to a nurse. So we told her that he has been vomiting and not sleeping through the night, a lot of crying and shouting & high temperature & constipation. The nurse checked temperature, chest & tummy & said he is absolutely fine. Again no help, no prescription & said good bye. I was a bit crossed because why do I need to come to doctor when you don't get any help, every time we visit but no help we buy medication by reading through the label and give him to get well. This place is not there to help they tell you in front of your face that you have 10 mins. They listen to you & say good bye. When I asked the nurse why my son referred to a nurse & why no prescription she said he is fine. Then I said I want to speak to a manager. When I told the manager our concern she is not interested. She was in favour of the nurse. Felt very weak & down. We cannot rely on this GP any more. This place should be closed down. Hope someone get the massage that they are not doing their job but getting paid by NHS.by Mahbub AlamApril 16, 2017
